How do I exclude products from appearing in ads?

You can control which products appear in Blend-managed ads by using product tags in Shopify. Add the <noblend> tag to exclude products, or use the <blend> tag to advertise only selected products.

Excluding products from ads

To exclude specific products from appearing in ads:

  1. Open the product in Shopify

  2. Add the tag 'noblend' to the product.

  3. Save the product.

Any product tagged with 'noblend' will automatically be removed from Blend-managed ads.

Including only specific products

If you prefer to only advertise a selected group of products:

  1. Add the tag 'blend' to the products you want to advertise.

  2. Leave all other products tagged

In this case, only products tagged with blend will be eligible to appear in ads, and all others will be ignored.

Important timing considerations

Product tag changes do not apply instantly.

  • Tag updates need time to propagate through Shopify and into the product feed

  • This delay is normal and can vary

To avoid unwanted products appearing in ads:

  • Allow time for the feed to refresh after making changes

  • Lodge a support ticket with our team so we can verify that the update has been applied correctly

This verification step helps prevent incorrect products from running while feeds update.
