How to update billing information on Google Ads

If your current billing details connected to Google Ads have changed or expired, you can easily update this information by following the steps below:

  1. Access Billing Settings:

    • Log in to your Google Ads account.

    • Click the Tools & Settings icon (represented by a wrench) in the upper-right corner.

    • Under the "Billing" section, select Settings.

  2. Manage Payment Methods:

    • In the left-hand navigation menu, click on Payment methods.

    • Locate the payment method you wish to update and click Edit.

    • Enter the updated billing information.

    • Click Save to apply the changes.

Important Notes

  • If your credit card or bank account number has changed, you'll need to add it as a new payment method and remove the old one, as some details cannot be edited directly.

  • To add a new payment method:

    • Click Add payment method.

    • Enter the new payment details.

    • If you want to use this as your primary payment method, check the box next to Set this payment method as primary.

    • Click Save.

  • To remove an old payment method:

    • Ensure you have another active payment method before removal.

    • Click Remove next to the payment method you wish to delete.
