To effectively manage your ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, Blend requires access to specific Facebook assets. This access enables us to create, launch, and oversee your ads seamlessly.

Required Assets:

  • Page

  • Ad Account

  • Catalog

  • Pixel

You can grant Blend access through two methods:

Connecting via the Blend App is the quickest and easiest way to link your Facebook assets. However, it’s essential to ensure that the Facebook account you use is an admin of your store's Facebook Business Manager, Ad Account, and Page.

While providing manual access may take longer, it offers greater flexibility and enables us to manage your ads more effectively.

Connecting Facebook Assets through the Blend App

  1. Log in to the Blend App and go to the Channels section in the left-hand menu.

  2. Find the Meta tab and click Connect.

  3. Log in to your Facebook account (must be an admin of your Business Manager, Ad Account, and Page). NB: The Facebook account logged into must be an admin of your store's Facebook Business Manager, Ad Account and Page.

4. Follow the prompts and click Continue to grant permissions.

After being redirected, click Connect under each section to link the relevant accounts. If multiple accounts appear under a section, make sure you are connecting the correct account for your store.

It should end up looking like this:

If you have successfully connected your Facebook assets through the Blend app, we should have everything needed to launch your ads, provided there are no issues within your accounts.

However, to ensure that Blend can troubleshoot any potential issues and better manage your ad campaigns, we also need you to manually connect your Facebook assets.

Manually connecting Facebook Assets

Step 1: Providing Blend with access to required assets

  1. Pages:

    • In the left-hand menu, under Accounts, select Pages.

    • Locate your store’s page and click Assign Partners.

    • Enter Blend’s Partner Business ID: 1980500005340632.

    • Assign Ads and Insights permissions, then click Assign.

  2. Ad Accounts:

    • In the left-hand menu, under Accounts, select Ad Accounts.

    • Find your ad account and click Assign Partners.

    • Enter Blend’s Partner Business ID: 1980500005340632.

    • Assign Manage Ad Account permission, then click Assign.

  3. Catalogs:

    • In the left-hand menu, under Data Sources, select Catalogs.

    • Select your catalog and click Assign Partners.

    • Enter Blend’s Partner Business ID: 1980500005340632.

    • Assign Manage Catalog permission, then click Assign.

    • In the Catalogs section, press the blue Add button to create a new Catalog.

    • Repeat the steps to assign Manage Catalog permission for this new Catalog to Blend - Blend’s Partner Business ID: 1980500005340632.

    • There is no need to connect this new Catalog to Shopify (Blend will handle this).

  4. Datasets (formerly Pixels):

    • In the left-hand menu, under Data Sources, select Datasets.

    • Choose your dataset and click Assign Partners.

    • Enter Blend’s Partner Business ID: 1980500005340632.

    • Assign Manage Dataset permission, then click Assign.

    • In the same section, press the blue Add button to create a new Dataset.

    • Repeat the steps to assign the Manage Dataset permission for the new Dataset to Blend - Blend’s Partner Business ID: 1980500005340632.

    • There is no need to connect this new Dataset to Shopify (Blend will handle this).

Note: We ask you to create a new catalog in your account to enable the creation of diverse product sets and to utilise a dynamic product feed that better reflects updates from Shopify in real time. Additionally, we recommend creating an additional dataset to run alongside your existing Pixel. This will enhance the capture of custom events and improve the accuracy of attributing conversion data to Blend events.

Next Steps

After completing the manual access setup, please message us via Intercom (the chatbox icon in the bottom right corner of the Blend App). We will verify the connections to ensure everything is set up correctly.

If you have any questions or need assistance, the Blend team is here to help and will respond promptly!
